Small Business/Bars and Restaurant Relief Package

Good Friday morning!
Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted announced two weeks ago that the administration, in partnership with the General Assembly, developed a package of CARES Act funding to help Ohioans. This package includes funding for small businesses, restaurants and bars, and low-income Ohioans impacted financially by the pandemic. Below, I have provided important dates and links as well as a statement from the Lt. Governor’s office I received this morning. It is important to remember, the state has set aside funds for 50 grants per county. As of now, Fayette County has NOT submitted 50 applications. You have until November 23rd to submit your application-but remember these funds are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. After that time, any money not distributed will be sent back to the general fund for distribution anywhere in the state. Claim your funds, Fayette County!
From Lt. Governor Husted’s office:
I have had a few questions about what counties have not yet submitted at least 50 applications for the Small Business Relief Grant. Those counties are: Meigs, Clinton, Lawrence, Champaign, Pike, Jackson, Holmes, Highland, Perry, Wyandot, Paulding, Carroll, Defiance, Morgan, Coshocton, Brown, Morrow,Fayette,Noble, Monroe, Adams, Hardin, Preble, Harrison, Vinton. The money will be set aside for the counties until 21 days after the applications opened (November 23rd). After that, any remaining funds will be put into the larger pot that will continue to award statewide applications on a first-come, first-served basis until the funds are gone.
Another helpful note—an FAQ section has been added to the SBRG application page.
