I believe it comes as no surprise Governor DeWine has issued additional changes as well as an extension to the State at Home Order. Dr. Acton signed the extension order in today’s press conference. All orders will now continue through May 1st along with the additions listed below. Please note, the additions do not go into effect until the extension of the original order begins.
Creation of a Dispute Resolution Panel. This will ensure all businesses are being treated equally throughout all 88 counties.
Retail businesses must establish an acceptable number of patrons in the store at one time. That number will be posted and you may be asked to wait until it is acceptable to enter
Travel: People traveling to Ohio are asked to self-quarantine for 14 days. There are exemptions for people who work across state lines.
All wedding receptions must follow the guidelines – no more than 10 people in attendance
State Parks are open – use trails for exercise but obey all social distancing guidelines. Camp Grounds remain closed.
Organized Sports for any age: Prohibited
I will post a link to the complete revised/extended order as it becomes available.

Governor DeWine announced the formation of the Economic Advisory Group. The names of the individuals appointed to this board will be posted on the coronavirus website shortly. This board will aid in the rebuilding of our business community once the Stay at Home order/Essential Business Only order has expired.
Lt. Governor Husted announced the creation of the Employer/Employee website created to help employers find employees and job-seekers find employment. PLEASE – if you have questions, call me! This is an easy-to-navigate website where you can immediately post your job openings. You can also add your logo! This is a great tool for Ohio employers and we hope you take advantage, should the need arise. As always, I am willing to post your open positions on our website as well. Contact me for further information or to post an available position. Click here to view the Employer/Employee website
Yesterday, the Governor announced his “Repurposing Project.” This project is aimed at manufacturers responding to the needs of our communities. Many of you have reached out asking how you can help. While I have forwarded the information/email, many were not getting a response from our state government. All of the issues seem to be resolved now and the creation of a website is complete. If you have questions or need further information regarding this project, please visit the Repurposing Project website
I have a small sign in my home office. It simply reads, “You can. End of story.” I firmly believe ‘We Can.’ The chamber and our many supporting agencies are here to help.
