Good afternoon!

I have received several calls from members who have replied directly to these daily update emails and not received a response from me. Please remember, certain security features do not allow for those emails to reach my inbox. If you have replied to an email blast regarding our golf outing, PLEASE call the office (740.335.0761) if you have not received a confirmation from me. I do not want to miss any sponsors or golfers!

As a reminder, enrollment in TechCred ends next Monday, August 31st. This is a great opportunity to upskill your employees and position your company for growth.

To support Ohio businesses and workers’ changing needs during this period of economic recovery, the following changes have been made to the TechCred program:
  • To make TechCred more flexible for upskilling new hires, employers are no longer required to list employee names when applying for TechCred. Instead, they will identify the number of current or prospective employees they will upskill.
  • To account for possible staffing changes, employers who were awarded in the October 2019, January 2020, and March 2020 rounds of TechCred may now substitute employees listed in their original application.
  • Employers awarded in October 2019 and January 2020, who had credential programs interrupted by the crisis, may request to extend their 18-month award eligibility timeline.
  • Employees can now earn multiple credentials during each application period.

Further information can be found here or by calling our office.

Per Lt. Governor Husted, Ohio’s economy is continuing to show signs of recovery. As of Sunday, there were approximately 169,000 total jobs available on, with almost 80,000 of those jobs having a yearly salary of $50,000 or higher. Our local OMJ office is a great resource for employers with open positions and can be reached by calling 740.313.0242.

Have a great Tuesday evening!
