Lt. Governor Husted announced today the Tech Cred Program would be expanding to include individuals who are not currently employed but could become employable by upskilling in a trade. The next enrollment period for TechCred begins June 1, 2020, and additional information can be found by following this link.
Today, the governor released a statement regarding county and independent fairs. The guidelines, which will be posted on the state’s website later, focus on social distancing, limiting crowds, animal care and welfare and ensuring everyone’s health.
Because each county fair is different, decisions about county and independent fairs will be left to local boards, the governor said.
Yesterday, the Fayette County Fairboard announced its decision to move forward with the Junior Fair. Stay tuned for further details! As details are released, I will forward those along.
Friends and family of individuals residing in an intermediate care facility (assisted living/developmental disability home) may begin outdoor visitations on June 8, 2020. Symptom checks and appointments for visits will be required, and any additional safeguards the facility wishes to request.
