This week we were reminded Mother Nature still has a sense of humor! This is a great time to reach out to the gardening resources available at the OSU Extension office. I covered my shrubs and flowering trees this week and hope that helps maintain a little bit of Spring once the weather warms!
Lt. Governor Husted announced a new pilot program aimed at high school students interested in technology fields. The High School Tech Internship Program allows for reimbursement to the employer willing to train our local students. You can find further details can be found by clicking here.
The Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission announced a new working capital loan program with interest rates as low as 2%. I have included an informational flyer at the bottom of this email or you can visit www.ovrdc.org to learn more about this excellent opportunity.
On May 6th, we will join forces with Clinton, Highland, and Adams Counties to bring a Virtual Job Fair to a laptop near you! If your business is considered an ‘in-demand job’ and you are searching for employees, please reach out, and I will walk you through the steps necessary to attend as an employer. During the event, local high school sophomores and juniors will participate in career exploration while seniors and adults will be actively searching for employment. This is a great opportunity to get your business in front of job seekers from four counties!
Thursday, April 29th at 9:00 AM, we are pleased to offer a FREE WEBINAR aimed at helping you hire the right people! If you are interested in registering, please CLICK HERE, and I will provide a private Zoom link to you. Please DO NOT reply to this email as I may not receive your request.
There are many exciting events this weekend and in the weeks to come! Check out the flyers below or call the office for more information.
