As a reminder, the amended Stay at Home order goes into effect this evening at midnight. One portion of this order requires retail establishments to post a number of permitted shoppers in their store at one time. A link to the complete order is at the bottom of this email. If you are a retail business and have questions, please call the office and we will be happy to help.

Governor DeWine announced that he continues to increase the supply of PPE for our front line personnel. He reiterated that “if we can’t buy it, we will make it.” If you can assist in the production of these necessary items, please see below:

  • Manufacturers must meet production retooling, product timing, quality, and quantity criteria to participate and will be asked to complete an Invitation to Bid.
  • To prepare to do business with the state, manufacturers can sign up and register as a supplier on the Supplier Portal at supplier.ohio.gov. For assistance, contact Ohio Shared Services at 1-877-644-6771 or ohiosharedservices@ohio.gov.
  • FAQs on the Alliance can be found here. FAQs on working with the state as part of this project can be found here.

Lt. Governor Husted reminds us of the Dispute Resolution Commission. Over the course of the last few weeks, disputes have been lodged when a specific type of business is permitted to operate in one county, but not in another. This is a direct result of different health departments interpreting the order differently. This group will mediate two or more health departments where ‘essential business’ is trying to be reconciled. Details can be found at Dispute Resolution.

This week is National Public Health Week. I would like to take a moment to thank the Fayette County Public Health Department for their tireless work these last several weeks. We appreciate the work they are doing today and every day.

As always, reach out should you have additional questions.

Julie
