Every Thanksgiving, after our food has been blessed and everyone’s plate is overflowing, we go around the dinner table and say what we are most thankful for this year. It has become a tradition in our family that was once greeted with many eyes rolling and everyone giggling at my mother’s request. Truth be told, it’s the most enjoyable part of my day.
We are blessed to live in this country and in this county. We enjoy freedom and a sense of community of which many envy. Let us all be thankful for our many blessings and take time to celebrate and support each other during this holiday season.
Join us at the chamber office as we kick off our Small Business Saturday celebration Saturday morning, November 30th between 8 AM and 11 AM. Pick up your Shop Small Passport and shopping bag then hit the pavement with your Christmas list. I promise you will find something unique that the recipient will appreciate. Our small business owners will appreciate your support as you help make their Christmas a little merrier.
Don’t forget to join us on Sunday as we officially kick off Christmas with our annual Christmas Parade! Our elves have been busy preparing the chamber office in preparation of the arrival of Santa! He will visit the office Sunday, December 1 from noon to 2 PM. Bring your children for their free picture with Santa! Then stick around as our parade kicks off at 3 PM. Many of our member businesses will be open and providing treats, sales and discounts. It is a fun-filled weekend you will not want to miss!
At the chamber, we are thankful for our members, our supporters and all who work tirelessly to make Fayette County a great place to live, work and play.
May you and yours be blessed this Thanksgiving and every day.
